Citizens typically ask: "WHY DO YOU DO IT"?

MY ANSWER: At age 45, I do it because I love public service and I love Savannah.

I was born and raised in Savannah. I attended Jacob G. Smith Elementary, Wilder Jr. High, Beach Jr. High, and Savannah High - ALL PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

I am a Phi Beta Kappa graduate from the University of GA. My legal degree is from Mercer Law School, and for two years I trained with Superior Court Judges in the Athens area; I then chose to come back to Savannah.

As a Savannah Attorney for twenty years, I am EXPERIENCED in LISTENING and ADVOCATING FOR PEOPLE.

During the past 20 years, I also became increasingly active in Democratic Party politics, eventually SERVING A TERM AS THE LOCAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY CHAIRMAN.

I am trained to listen to community problems, and EXPERIENCED in problem solving by team consensus.

My vision will always be one of a safer Savannah, a more progressive Savannah, and a more prosperous Savannah for ALL people.
